State of Rhode Island Office of the State Fire Marshal Department of Business Regulation

The Office of the State Fire Marshal will be conducting a 35-hour training course from Monday, September 8, 2025 through Friday, September 12, 2025 at the State Fire Academy. Class will run from 0900 hours to 1500 hours daily.

This course is the second phase in the process to become an Assistant Deputy State Fire Marshal - Inspections. You must have previously completed the National Fire Academy 1031 Fire Inspector I certification. A copy of your NFPA 1031 must be emailed to Inspector Lopez upon application to the class.
