The NFPA Firefighter II course provides education and skills training in more advanced firefighting techniques. Topics taught include foam fire streams, vehicle rescue, fire communications, gaining an understanding of how sprinkler & fire alarm systems operate, preplanning for fire attacks and assisting with fire origin and cause determination, plus additional firefighter safety skills. The program contains both lectures and hands-on skills training.

Prerequisites:

Certified Firefighter I
Rhode Island fire service member
