Rope Based Edge Transitions Date: November 15, 2024 — 8:30am to 4:00pm Location: Rhode Island Fire Academy This advanced rope-based edge transition course is designed for experianced technical rescuers who seek to enhance their rope rescue skills in complex edge environments. The course covers the intricacies of managing both positive and negative edge transitions for individual rescuers as well as litters, with and without attendant personnel. Participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of navigating parapet wall transitions and implementing artificial high directional (AHD) systems to safely and effectively manage edge-based rescues. Through hands-on scenarios and expert instruction, rescuers will refine techniques to improve patient safety, maximize operational efficiency, and ensure rescuer security during challenging rope-based edge operations.
